Introducing Ayoa: why we’re changing from DropTask
Changing names is big business. DropTask was first released in 2013 – back then, DropTask was a good name for the unique task management tool we’d created here at OpenGenius HQ.
But now, with the powerful collaboration available in DropTask Chat – and many more exciting things to come – we’ve outgrown the name, just like we’ve outgrown task management.
We’ve moved on from DropTask to become Ayoa instead – it’s a name that we all love here at OpenGenius, and one that can grow to take on more meaning as our software does the same. Trust us when we say, there are many exciting things to come.
As you’d expect, this name change means there will be some visual tweaks over the next few weeks. Our logo, both on-site and in-app, will change. Our social media accounts will now exist under the Ayoa name – and all of our live content and messaging will be updated to reflect this name change.
What this means for existing users…
There’s nothing to worry about (but a whole lot to be excited for). From your perspective, most things will stay the same and you’ll still be able to use your DropTask login details.
What this means for new users…
Hi, hello and welcome. Obviously, our name change isn’t going to mean as much to you. Just start using Ayoa for all your work and collaboration needs, keep an eye out for the exciting things to come and bear with us if you notice any leftover mentions to DropTask hanging around on our site.

OpenGenius are leaders in innovation, and we’re on a new mission to take the rest of the world with us; Ayoa is the tool that will enable us to do that.
